tuition/payments
Tuition is a flat MONTHLY fee, regardless of lessons missed for any reason
Tuition automatically processes on the first of every month & is always non-refundable. Music Time has the right to remove your appointment reservation if Tuition is not paid in full by the 15th of the month.
An initial Tuition payment is due at the time of enrollment in order to reserve your place on the schedule.
If autopay is declined, an additional deposit of 1 month Tuition is due with the initial Tuition payment at the time of enrollment.
make-ups/absences
24 hours advance notice of an absence is required for make-up eligibility. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice earns a make-up credit, good for one appointment with any instructor (subject to availability). Please LOGIN to the student/parent portal to let us know of any upcoming absences. Use the ≡ button to the left of “Home” to open the menu. Click “Calendar” and navigate to the lesson you will miss. Click the red “Cancel Lesson” button that pops up when you open the calendar event.
Make-ups are NEVER guaranteed.
Tuition guarantees ONLY your regular appointment time. Every student & instructor’s situation is different. We will do our best to accommodate occasional, reasonable requests (case-by-case basis).
RESTRICTIONS: Make-up lessons are scheduled no more than 10 days in advance. Make-up credits expire 30 days after initial absence, and may not be applied after the date of Withdrawal. Make-up credits have no cash value & may not be redeemed for account credit, or transferred to others (including siblings). A maximum of 3 emergency (less than 24 hours’ notice) Make-up credits may be applied per year, awarded on a case-by-case basis & always subject to availability.
In the case of instructor’s absence, you may have a substitute instructor (with or without advance notice).
Music Time stands by all of our instructors, 100%. We feel strongly that students grow best from not only building a relationship with a regular instructor, but also from experiencing the fresh perspective of another professional musician. Music Time proudly allows our staff to gig, tour, travel & take personal time as needed, in the confidence that students are in good hands with our qualified substitute instructors.

If you are thinking of “pausing” lessons for several weeks or months & intend to return (rather than quit altogether), please see our options. We do our best to accommodate in a way that works for everyone involved. Click the button below for more information…
