music time students have opportunities throughout the year to take what they are learning out of the lesson room and onto the stage.
the big show
our annual big show at the bothwell arts center brings together the music time community of students, staff, families and friends for a one-of-a-kind afternoon of live, local, livermore music. this extravaganza features nearly two dozen ensembles performing a variety of genres across two stages.
the big show has been a tradition since 2018, with the exception of the pandemic years of 2020-2021 when we instead produced “space age 2020 digital concert” and “bandwidth us“
the little shows
in the spring and winter, music time hosts recitals on-site in our stage room. little shows are a place for students of all ages and skill levels to get on stage in front of a small, safe and supportive audience. we are honored to host the very first live performances for so many folks.
other community performances
in addition to the big show and little shows, music time occasionally organizes other live performances in the livermore community. in summer 2026, we brought 5 student ensembles plus one teacher supergroup to perform at homegrown hops in livermore. in 2025, music time students and staff performed at the downtown thursday night farmer’s market.
